The Somers Eye Center is located in the heart of the historic section of Somers, New York. The eye center is part of the Somers Professional Commons, which includes Internal Medicine, Dentistry, as well as a licensed Chiropractor. The building is easy to get to and is wheelchair accessible.

Dr. Ranani established the Somers Eye Center in 1978. Since then the practice has expanded to include fully-stocked Contact-Lens and Optical Departments. Our Optical Department carries a wide selection of frames, including the latest styles and the top designer brands. As part of our growth, we have recently expanded, redesigned and modernized the facilities.

New technological advancements have always been a passion of Dr. Ranani and have been implemented throughout his practice. These advancements allow for earlier detection of diseases and complications, and enable a more comfortable and efficient visit. For example, the use of a specialized camera enables the doctor to obtain images of the retina and optic nerve tissue without the need for dilation.
